So it is little surprise that the gowns featured in the upcoming royal wedding of Blair Waldorf to Prince Louis of Monaco have already sparked huge interest.
Though the episode will not air until January 30, the White by Vera Wang dresses worn by the Upper East Side socialite’s bridesmaids have already gone on sale at David’s Bridal.

The dresses, which have an asymmetric neckline and puffball skirt in the shape of rose petals, were made in purple, grey and lavender among other colours.
But given that they cost a relatively reasonable $198, it is little surprise that they are already selling well. The blush pink version, as seen on the show, has already sold out online.
A spokesman for David’s Bridal told MailOnline: ‘The dress did so well that the allotment for the web sold out.’
They revealed that the dress was originally offered as a reception dress for the bride.
Inspired: Many brides-to-be are already trying to replicate the looks we will see in the Gossip Girl royal wedding, which will air on the CW on January 30
It is still available online in a midnight blue hue (albeit only in a U.S. size 10 and up), though brides-to-be desperate to recreate Blair’s bridesmaids’ look will still be able to find the blush colourway at the retailer’s stores.
Less budget-conscious bridesmaids could start saving for a dress like Blair’s best friend and maid of honour, Serena van der Woodsen.
The character, played by Blake Lively, wore Vera Wang’s $5,500 Farrah gown, from the spring/summer 2011 collection.
Blair’s gown is more special still – unsurprising given that Miss Messter is the face of Vera Wang’s fragrance.
Will they or won’t they? The highly-anticipated episode will see Blair Waldorf prepare to marry her Prince Louis – despite her love for Chuck Bass
The custom-made coop Wedding Dresses, which was created especially for the character, is a strapless lace ivory design with a tie at the waist and full princess-like skirt.
The episode, which be the series’ 100th, won’t be airing until January 30 but stills have been circulating since they filmed the scenes in New York last November.
Blair Waldorf, played by Leighton Meester, was spotted running through the streets of the city, fuelling speculation that she may leave her prince at the altar in favour of the troubled Chuck Bass.
